A simple blog about simple dog thoughts. This blog is where I post whatever I feel like! (It's a very good way to relax.)

If you come within three feet of me you will go insane like I am. Was that 1200 characters? (I think someone messed up my profile! Because for a while there it wasn't what I had set it to.)

The Culture Fair!

Comes once a year for homeschoolers like me, I haven't been posting very much because of it. But it finished last saturday and I got some really cool pictures to show. This is a model Omaha beach we made, complete with sea-wall, sea, and cliff. Thats me in the helmet and my friend/helper Jacob.

This is a picture of a web picture of a World War II (we were doing World War II) gun I found and used for a rifle report.

Nice work. Is that real sand on the Beach? What are the little barbs on the beach? Where did you get the uniforms? Are those authentic 1940 newspapers on the wall?

Yes it is real sand. We used that because there really isn't anything else that makes really convincing sand (plus it was quick!) The little barbs are tank traps a three-pronged x. If a tank drives over it the tank becomes stuck and can't back up or move forward, making it a sitting duck for German artillary. The uniforms I got from my dad, he used to be in the army you know. Sort of. They are reprints of old front pages during the war.
