A nice Thurday, a bit windy.
A weird thing happened the other day. My aunt and uncle stopped by on the Thanksgiving weekend and we put out a pail of water for them to drink and when they left we forgot to put it in again. The next day we looked into it and there were WATER BEETLES IN IT!!! They were Predacious Diving Beetles (Acilius species).
btw The pail was on the deck and filled with tap water (far from the river).
If any of you, my readers have an explanation for this I would like to hear it. I think the beetles flew (if water beetles can). But what do you readers think?

I like your theory, Tom.
I think most, if not all, beetles have wings. I remember a big one crawling around me like a tank, and the suddenly (almost like a Transformer(TM)) turning in to a flying machine and zipping off.

Oh, I just noticed Sanas asked the same question I did before me! Sorry. I didn't read all those first. Did you have water beetles in your shower too? Maybe they rained down in the night. It could happen. http://allaboutfrogs.org/weird/general/raining.html
